Rapp Corral has offered custom horse drawn sleigh rides in the winter wonderland between Durango and Purgatory Ski Area since 1984. Sleigh rides are a great idea for family fun, a work party, a friends get together, or a romantic sleigh ride for two! We have five different sleighs! From our cozy two-person sleigh to the larger sleighs that can carry 10 adults comfortably, there is something for every group. If you have a really large group, we’ll bring out a few of our sleighs at once to accommodate your needs. Just ask us when you call for reservations!
Come enjoy the jingle of the horses, the brisk mountain air and the amazing scenery with us! We begin our sleigh ride season as weather conditions allow (usually the second week of December), and then stop offering sleigh rides when conditions are no longer favorable (typically the last week in February). But check back with us because you never know what the weather will bring!

It’s winter – think warm. We have blankets, but there’s nothing like being dressed for the weather. Hats, gloves, warm clothes and jackets will all make your ride more enjoyable. If you’d like to bring something warm to drink, just be sure it’s in a spill-proof container. And remember sunscreen for your face! Even in the winter (especially with the reflection off the snow), the Colorado sun comes shining through!
“Our sleigh ride for two was my life long dream, thank you for making it so special.” – Judy “Joe was our sleigh driver, what a great guy, we have gone with him the last three winters and hope to keep up the tradition.” – Julie “There is no better way to experience a Colorado winter than by sleigh pulled by gorgeous horses. Thank you. We will never forget this family adventure.” – Nancy, Dan, Jessica and Parker
